Eid After piloting classes started. The piloting of the new primary curriculum will start after the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr. New books have started to be written for the first-class piloting class in the new curriculum. The first consignment of these books of the new curriculum will be received by the Department of Primary Education before Eid. The rest of the books will be sent to selected schools for piloting. Piloting classes of the new curriculum will be conducted in selected 75 government primary schools in different parts of the country. The piloting class will be completed by next December. It will be implemented in all schools from 2023.
The piloting of the sixth class of secondary started last 22nd February. Elementary was also about to start piloting at the same time. It is learned that the piloting work has been delayed due to a misunderstanding between the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education and the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB). According to ministry sources, the NCTB had sent a proposal in mid-December last year seeking allocation of funds for piloting in 100 primary schools. But it was not approved by the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.
The initial piloting has been delayed mainly due to the NCTB’s differences with the top officials of the ministry. Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education. This work will be completed next December and the curriculum of the new curriculum will be implemented in January 2023.
