Application for admission to Jahangirnagar University started on 18th May. Jahangirnagar University (JU) 2021-22 undergraduate (honors) first-year admission test notification has been published by the university administration. Admission notification for the first year of graduation (honors) is published on the official website of Jabir. The online application process will start on May 16 and will continue till June 18. Besides, the probable date of examination has been fixed from 31st July to 11th August.
In 2021-22, instead of 10 units, the admission test will be held in five units. The five units are the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics and the Institute of Information Technology (IIT) Examinations ‘A’ Unit, the Faculty of Sociology and the Faculty of Law Examinations ‘B’ Unit, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Department of Drama and Drama, Department of Fine Arts and Bangabandhu and The examinations of the Institute of Comparative Literature and Culture will be in the ‘C’ unit, the examinations of the Faculty of Business Education and the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) will be in the ‘E’ unit and the examinations of the Faculty of Biology will be in the ‘D’ unit.
22 marks in Mathematics, 22 marks in Chemistry, 22 marks in Physics, 3 marks in Bengali, 3 marks in English, and 6 marks in IT. In the ‘B’ unit 25 marks in Bengali, 25 marks in English, 5 marks in General Mathematics, and 25 marks in General Knowledge, Recent Subjects, and IQ. In the ‘C’ unit 15 marks in Bengali, 15 marks in English, and 50 marks in general knowledge and department-related subjects. Unit D will have 24 marks in Chemistry, 22 marks in Botany, 22 marks in Zoology, 6 marks in Bengali and English, and 4 marks in Intelligence.
This year the application fee for ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘E’ units has been fixed at Rs.900 and for ‘D’ units at Rs.600. ‘All units will have 70 marks in the MCQ system. The test time will be 55 minutes and the pass number will be at least 33 percent. However, for admission, one has to get the subject-wise number.
