In Mavabiprabi, 40 percent of seats are still vacant. Maulana Bhasani University of Science and Technology (Mavabiprabi) has completed the admission process in the fifth phase in the first year of graduation in 2020-21. 36 students have been admitted in this step. As a result, the total number of students admitted in 5 faculties of the university as against 610 seats in 16 departments stands at 471 students. That means 329 seats are still vacant. As a percentage, it is 40 percent.

There are vacancies outside the information provided by the university. Because the number of cancellations of admission was not brought like this. The students are in trouble as the admission process in Mavabiprabi started late. Many have been admitted to different universities due to the uncertainty of admission. They are taking time to cancel the admission to that university and submit the required papers. University authorities say that if the required papers are not submitted within the stipulated time, the admission will be considered canceled. If the admission is canceled, the number of seats will be more vacant.

Although the admission process is going on online, the required documents have to be submitted to the university in person. It is learned that a date for the submission of papers will be fixed soon. According to the pre-announced admission guidelines, the sixth merit list is to be published today, February 23, and the sixth merit list will be admitted online next Sunday (February 26) as usual.

Meanwhile, the authorities have not yet given any information as to when the first-year classes will start as the admission process has not been completed. Classes may begin in mid-March. But in some departments, as more than 80 percent of seats are still vacant, the university authorities are not giving a specific date for the start of freshman classes.
