In two phases, the Department of Primary Education (DPE) sent a letter about the date and center of the recruitment test for about 45,000 assistant teachers in primary schools. In the first, it is said that the test will be held in five stages in the capital Dhaka from April 1. Later, in another letter, it was said that the test will be conducted in four stages from April 6. The first was signed by the Additional Director General of the Department Sohail Ahmed. The second notification was signed by DPE Director General Alamgir Muhammad Mansurul Alam. Despite the signatures of the top two officials of the department, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education termed it as a rumor.
According to the earlier decision, the test was supposed to be completed by April but it will not be possible. Because no final decision has been made yet on whether this test will be held in Dhaka or in other districts. The Director-General of the Department has been given the responsibility to take a decision in this regard. A notification was issued on 20 October 2020 for the recruitment of 32,057 vacant posts of Assistant Teachers in Government Primary Schools. About 13 lakh candidates applied for it. The Corona epidemic has not yet been tested. Later, the authorities decided to recruit 45,000 teachers by increasing the number of vacancies.
