Classes in two shifts in primary schools begin on May 12. The government primary school will open on May 12. The Department of Elementary Education (DPE) has issued seven directives for junior students, including daily assembly before class.
The instructions are
- Classes in one shift schools from 9 am to 3 pm on Saturdays and Wednesdays and from 2 pm to 25pm on Thursdays (1st and 2nd class from 1:30 am to 1 pm and 3rd, 4th and 5th classes from 9 am to 3 pm) The activities will continue.

Class teaching activities in two-shift schools Saturday to Wednesday from 9 am to 4 pm and Thursday to 2:30 pm (1st and 2nd class from 9 am to 11:50 am and 3rd, 4th and 5th class from 11:30 am to 4 pm) Will continue

Pre-primary classes will run from 9:30 am to 12 noon on Saturdays and Thursdays in one-shift schools and from 9 am to 11:30 am in two-shift schools.

Schools with one shift should be run from 9 am to 9:25 am and schools with two shifts from 11:30 am to 11:50 am.

The headteacher will prepare the routine with the priority of the subject-trained teachers and get the approval of the Assistant Upazila or Thana Education Officer of the concerned cluster.
- The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has been asked to follow the previous class routine in the teaching schedule of primary schools in the Dhaka metropolis.
- Appropriate steps need to be taken to fill the learning gap.
