Ramadan During the month classes is held in schools and colleges’ own routines. During the holy month of Ramadan, public and private secondary schools and higher secondary colleges will have to take classes in their own routine. The Department of Secondary and Higher Education will not give any prescribed routine to the schools and colleges to take classes during Ramadan. Officials of the department have advised the educational institutions of the capital to start classes before office hours to avoid traffic jams. Professor Mohammad Belal Hossain, director of the secondary branch of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education, confirmed the matter on Wednesday.
An order issued by the Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education has directed to conduct of class activities till April 26 or 24 Ramadan to fill the learning deficit of the students. Asked how classes would be conducted in schools and colleges during Ramadan, the director of the secondary branch, Professor Mohammad Belal Hossain, told DainikSiksha.com, “We are not giving any specific routine to schools and colleges to take classes during Ramadan.” Institutions will take classes in their own routine till April 26. The institution will coordinate with its teachers to fix the routine.
Our organizations are actually one of a kind. Some institutions start from class three. Some institutions start from class six. Again, some institutions up to the tenth grade. Again, some institutions up to the twelfth grade. So if you give a certain routine, there may be some difficulty in conducting the classes of the institutions. So we don’t want to give any specific routine right now. The ministry has instructed us to conduct classes till April 26. We have sent it to the field level. If the ministry changes the decision and issues an order, instructions will be given in that regard. It has been decided to run the office from 9 am to 3:30 pm during Ramadan. Institutions in the capital can start a little before the office starts to avoid traffic jams.
