Now tap on an offline map.
Tap on the ‘Select Your Own Map’ option. Go into the options and select the area you want to download the map.
Now tap on the download option.

So you need to update the quickly downloaded map. Offline maps expire within 15 days. And after expiration, Google Map automatically updates that area, if your device has a WiFi connection. However, Google Maps can be updated manually.
