11 guidelines for schools and colleges

After announcing the closure of educational institutions for two weeks, 11-point instructions have been given to schools and colleges to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The Department of Secondary and Higher Education issued the directives on Saturday (January 22nd). It said that in order to prevent the spread of Corona virus-borne disease Covid-19, the overall activities should be carried out in accordance with the guidelines.

1. Physical class activities will be closed till February 8.

2. At this time, the educational institution authorities will continue teaching and learning activities on online/virtual platforms based on reality.

3. Covid-19 vaccination activities for 12-16-year-old students will continue in accordance with proper hygiene rules.

In this case, the Regional Office of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education, District Education Officer, and Upazila / Thana Secondary Education Office will continue to coordinate with the local administration and the Civil Surgeon.

1. Every precaution should be taken to keep all the electricity, telephone, internet, water, and gas connections of the institution, including classrooms, libraries, and laboratories, closed and safe.

2. At this time, special attention should be given to the issue of maintenance and overall security of all the resources of the educational institution.

. The educational institution will be able to keep the teachers and staff engaged in the responsibilities of the head institution in compliance with the hygienic rules in case of emergency.

. The dormitories/dormitories will remain open until further notice for the convenience of the dormitory/dormitory students in the dormitories/dormitories of the educational institutions. However, all concerned must strictly adhere to proper hygiene rules.

. All the officers, teachers, and employees working in all the departments and educational institutions under the department must get the vaccination certificate.
