There is no second time in buet

There is no ‘second time’ in but. Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET) does not have the opportunity to take the admission test for the second time. At the university’s 475th academic council meeting on Saturday, the decision to hold the admission test under the earlier rules was upheld. The meeting, chaired by BUET Vice-Chancellor Prof. Satya Prasad Majumdar, was attended by BUET Registrar Prof. Dr. Forkan Uddin, Student Welfare Management Prof. Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Deans of various faculties, and department chairmen.

The issue of syllabus and second-time examination of the admission test was raised in the meeting. In this, it was decided to organize the admission test in the short syllabus with consent. However, the opportunity to hold a second admission test has not been approved. The issue of the second time examination was taken up in the Academic Council. But it was not approved. As a result, our admission test will be held as per the previous rules.

Regarding the conduct of the admission test in a short syllabus, he also said that in the meeting, it was decided to conduct the admission test for 2021-22 in the revised syllabus by consensus. That is, our admission test will be held according to the syllabus that the students have read and given the HSC exam. On December 22 last year, the HSC passouts of 2020 submitted a memorandum along with BUET Vice-Chancellor Prof. Satya Prasad Majumdar demanding a second chance for the admission test.
