Primary teacher recruitment test starts on 1st April
The primary teacher recruitment test starts on 1st April. The preliminary examination for the recruitment of more than 45,000 assistant teachers in government primary schools of the country is starting on April 1. This test which is going to be held in five steps will end on 26th April. The written test will be held on 01st, 06th, 15th, 22nd, and 26th April. The test will be in two shifts. The first shift will be at 10 in the morning and the second shift will be at 3 in the afternoon. Those who pass the written test will be called for the next oral test.
The Department of Primary Education issued a notification on 20 October 2020 for the recruitment of 32,057 vacant posts of Assistant Teachers. But due to the Corona epidemic, it was not possible to take the test. In the meantime, more than 10,000 posts of assistant teachers have become vacant due to retirement. This has led to a shortage of teachers in schools. To solve this problem, the ministry has decided to appoint about 45,000 assistant teachers by combining the vacancies in the previous notification and the vacancies after the notification.
The Dhaka Division has the highest number of applications for the Assistant Teacher Recruitment Examination. 2 lakh 40 thousand 619 people have applied in this section. Then in Rajshahi 2 lakh 10 thousand 430 people, in Khulna 1 lakh 6 thousand 603 people, in Mymensingh 1 lakh 12 thousand 256 people, in Chittagong 1 lakh 99 thousand 238 people, in Barisal 1 lakh 9 thousand 344 people, in Sylhet 62 thousand 606 people and in Rangpur division 1 98 thousand 18 people.
