6th merit list released in Joby, 622 seats vacant
Jagannath University (JU) has released the sixth merit list for admission to four-year undergraduate (honors) and BBA first year for the academic year 2020-2021. A total of 622 seats are vacant so far. This information was revealed by the university’s registrar’s office and IT cell on Thursday.
According to the merit list, there were 433 vacant seats in the ‘A’ (Science) unit. In this unit, 3718 to 4150 merit lists are nominated for the subjects.
Apart from this, 124 seats were vacant in the ‘B’ (humane) unit. Students in the merit list from 1551 to 1774 have got subjects in this unit. As there were 64 vacant seats in the ‘C’ (Commerce) unit, the students of the merit list from 1126 to 1192 were nominated for the subject.
As one seat is vacant in the music department, the 44th merit list holder has been given the opportunity of admission and has to be admitted within the stipulated time. Admission from the sixth merit list can be done till January 29. The documents required for admission can be submitted till January 30.
It has also been informed that if the money is not paid and admitted within the stipulated time, then the opportunity of admission will not be available later. To stop automatic migration, the application form has to be downloaded by login and submitted to the concerned dean’s office by January 31. The seventh merit list, subject, and migration seats will be published subject to vacancies.
For the ‘A’ unit, the number of seats in 13 categories is 825, in the ‘B’ unit there are 1,270 seats in 17 divisions. The number of seats in the four divisions of the ‘C’ unit is 520.
Apart from this, there are 40 seats each in the music, fine arts, and drama sections and 30 seats in the film and television departments. The total number of seats at Jagannath University is 2,765.
