In-person classes at Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology begin on February 22. In-person classes will begin at Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) from February 22. This information was given in a notice signed by the registrar of the university, Prof. Dr. Himanshu Bhowmik. According to the notice, due to the decrease in corona infection, the normal educational activities of all the departments and institutes of the university will start from Tuesday, February 22 in accordance with hygiene.

Earlier yesterday, Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said that in-person teaching from secondary to higher education institutions will start from February 22. Educational institutions in the country have been closed since January 20 due to the increase in corona infections. The holiday was extended twice. Initially, the date of opening of educational institutions was fixed on February 6, but later the holiday was extended till February 21. The Ministry of Education held a meeting with the National Advisory Committee on February 16 to open educational institutions.

It was decided to open educational institutions from February 22. Later, the Education Minister held a press conference on the issue yesterday. He said those who do not take the second dose will take online classes from home. Universities will arrange vaccinations under their own management. Arrangements are being made for vaccination for those below 12 years of age. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the government closed all educational institutions in the country on March 17, 2020. After a year and a half of closure, all schools and colleges were opened in September last year. Later, higher educational institutions were also opened in a phased manner. Educational institutions were closed for about a month after the new type of corona was detected.
