The salaries and allowances of the teachers and employees are getting stuck

At the secondary level, the salaries and allowances of three and a half lakh teachers and staff have become uncertain. Officials of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education themselves are skeptical about whether the teachers will get their salaries on time. They say this vacuum has been created because Mausi does not have a director-general.

A meeting is held between the 18th and 20th of every month for the release of salaries and allowances of teachers and staff. Then on the 1st or 2nd of every month, their pay-allowance check is sent to the bank. But so far no meeting has been held. It is learned that Mausi Director General Professor Syed Golam Farooq retired on January 10.

After that, according to the rules, the current director (college and administration) Professor Shahedul Khabir was given the routine responsibility in his place. However, he was not given the power to approve the salary allowance or financial-related files of the teachers and staff. The people concerned think that this could lead to a crisis.

When asked, Deputy Director (Administration) of Mausi Bipul Chandra Shah said that it is not possible to conduct financial activities as the ministry has not given this power. He thinks that a big crisis may be created in this case. However, Mausi Director General (Routine Responsibilities) Professor Shahedul Khabir said the Ministry of Education is aware of the matter. A decision will be taken soon.
