The good news of mobile internet is about data. The new guidelines on mobile internet data packages are going to be effective from March 15. Instructions have been issued to reduce the number of data offers in the new package and add old surplus data to the new package. Monday, Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Deputy Director. Zakir Hossain Khan said the new directive was to be implemented from March 1. Instead, it will be effective from March 15.

According to the BTRC, according to the new guidelines issued on data and data-related packages, all mobile operators in the country have to get approval from BTRC for packages, system design, and necessary preparation and data packages in line with the guidelines. After that, instead of the previously announced March 1, all the data and data-related packages will be operated as per the instructions of the guidelines issued from 12 midnight on March 15. As per BTRC guidelines, a mobile operator can offer 95 packages in three sections. There are three packages – regular package, customer-centric package, development, and research package.
