Pre-primary classes are closed for the time being

Pre-primary classes are closed for the time being. In-person teaching in schools, colleges, and universities will begin on February 22. Primary schools will open on March 1. However, pre-primary classes are closed. Minister of State for Primary and Mass Education Zakir Hossain on Friday said classes from classes 1 to 5 will start on March 1 to reduce the infection. However, in-person classes at the pre-primary level will remain closed for the time being.

In government primary schools, children have a level of education called one-year-long pre-primary. Which is also known as the children’s class. Apart from this, there are classes of play, nursery, KG, etc. in English medium schools and kindergartens. On Friday morning, Mahbubur Rahman Tuhin, public relations officer of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, said that in-person teaching in primary schools will start from March 1. An office order in this regard will be issued soon.

Earlier on Thursday, Education Minister Dr. Deepu Moni said at a press conference that classroom teaching will start from February 22 at the secondary, higher secondary, and university levels. Educational institutions were closed on March 17, 2020, due to corona infection for the first time in the country. Educational institutions at all levels were opened on September 12, 2021, after one and a half years of reducing the infection. But due to the increase in infections, educational institutions were closed from January 21. Educational institutions will remain closed until February 21.
