All examinations of Bankers Selection Committee have been postponed
From February 1, all the examinations to be held under the supervision of the Bankers’ Selection Committee (BSC) Secretariat have been postponed till further orders. This information has been given in an emergency notification signed by the member secretary of the banker’s selection committee (BSc) Md. Azizul Haque on Thursday (January 26).
In view of the prevailing Covid-19 situation, all the examinations (MCQ, written and oral) to be held under the supervision of the Bankers’ Selection Committee Secretariat have been postponed from February 1 until further notice. Candidates are requested to be prepared so that they can participate in the postponed examination on short notice.
According to the information, all the educational institutions of the country have announced closure till February 8 due to the rapid increase in the spread of coronavirus in the country. The Department of Health says the corona delta variant is still predominant in the country, but little by little it is being replaced by the Omicron variant.
In this situation, last Sunday (January 23) 4 government recruitment exams have been postponed in one day. Of these, three are written and the rest are a preliminary examination. These examinations were to be held on 26th and 29th January in different educational institutions of Dhaka city.
The suspended government agencies are Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Foundation, Coal Power Generation Company Bangladesh Limited (CPGCBL), and Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC).
Meanwhile, the MCQ examination for the post of officer (cash) of five banks, which are members of the Bankers’ Selection Committee (BSC), was postponed in a notification on Wednesday (January 26). The examination was to be held on 4th February 2019 for 1,439 posts of ‘Officer (Cash)’ – 10th grade.
