Primary school piloting classes started in the new curriculum after Eid. The new first-class curriculum piloting class of primary school will be started after Eid. New curriculum book writing has started. Tuesday (April 12) Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education. Aminul Islam Khan said this. Work is currently underway to write a new curriculum book and a guide for teachers to teach in the classroom. After Eid, new curriculum piloting classes will be started in 65 primary schools in different parts of the country.
As much as the new curriculum book will be written, it will be sent to the teachers for reading. We don’t want to be late anymore. The piloting class will be completed by next December. It will be implemented in all schools from 2023. One month ago, the Ministry of Education handed over the textbooks of the new curriculum to the sixth-grade students. In the meantime, their piloting classes have started. After the opening of educational institutions, Education Minister Dipu Moni announced to start of this program in 72 schools in the country.
The National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) sent a proposal in mid-December last year seeking allocation of funds for piloting in 100 primary schools. But it was not approved by the Ministry of Mass Education. This was not due to the reluctance of the top officials. The officer has recently been transferred elsewhere. Due to the negligence of that officer, the piloting of the new curriculum was suspended. After the joining of Aminul Islam Khan, the new secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, this activity has been started anew.
