Dhaka University’s admission application ends tonight. Dhaka University (DU) 2021-22 Graduation (Honors) first-year admission test application is going online. Admission test applications will be accepted on Tuesday (May 10). Students can apply online till 11:59 pm. This time the application fee has been increased from Tk 350 to Tk 1,000 in all the units. When is the admission test
This year’s admission test of Dhaka University will start on June 3 through the ‘C’ unit of the business education faculty. After that, a general knowledge test will be held on 4th June, B unit, Faculty of Science, A unit, Faculty of Social Sciences, Unit D, and on 18th June, F unit, Faculty of Fine Arts. A, B, C, and D units will be tested from 11 a.m. to 12 noon (one and a half hours). However, the general knowledge test of fine arts will be from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (30 minutes). Admission test application and fee submission of candidates online will start from 20th April and will continue till 10th May. Admission test tickets can be downloaded up to one hour before the start of the test on 16th May.
Eligibility conditions for application are relaxed
The eligibility criteria for admission in the admission test have also been relaxed this time. According to the notification, students who have passed the secondary or equivalent examination from 2018 to 2019 and the higher secondary or equivalent examination of 2021 will be able to apply for participation in this year’s admission test at Dhaka University. To apply for the ‘A’ unit, SSC and HSC separately have a minimum GPA of 3.5 with a total of 8 (previously it was 7.5); A total of 8.5 (previously 8) with GPA-3 separately in the ‘B’ unit; The ‘C’ unit must have a total of 7.5 with GPA-3.5 separately (previously it was 8).
In order to apply for the ‘D’ unit of department change, one has to have a total of 7.5 with a minimum GPA-3 in SSC and HSC separately. However, candidates from the Science, Agricultural Sciences, Home Economics, and Science Branch of Madrasa Education Board will have to have a total of 8 with minimum GPA-3.5 in SSC and HSC separately to apply for this unit (previously required to meet the qualification of their unit). In addition, to apply for the ‘C’ unit, SSC and HSC must have a total of 7.5 with a GPA-3 separately (previously it was 6).
Admission test number 100
A, B, C, and D units will have a total admission test of 100 marks. In this case, there will be multiple choice of 60 marks and a written test of 40 marks. There will be a total of 90 minutes with 45 minutes to answer the two parts. Unit F will have a multiple-choice test of 40 marks in the general knowledge section. Time 30 minutes. On the basis of the results, according to the merit order, 1,500 people will take part in the drawing test of 60 numbers. There will be 45 minutes allotted for the drawing test. The merit list will be prepared by adding 20 marks out of 10 on the GPA of SSC and HSC with the marks obtained in all five units.
Decreased seats
Meanwhile, the number of seats in Dhaka University is decreasing this time. The university’s academic council and syndicate last month approved a decision to reduce the number of seats by 1,040 from 7,125 to 6,065. Application fee increased to 1000
Until 2018-19, the application fee for the Dhaka University admission test was 350 rupees. The fee has been increased from Tk 100 to Tk 450 in the 2019-20 academic year. In the very next academic year (2020-21) the application fee was increased by Tk. 200 to Tk. 650. It has been decided to increase the admission application fee for the coming 2021-22 to Tk.
