8 May MBBS first-year admission starts. The Department of Health Education has planned to start the admission process for MBBS first year in 2021-22 from May 7. Due to the holy Ramadan and the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, the initial decision has been taken to start the admission in May. This time 1 lakh 43 thousand 915 people applied for the admission test. Of these, 1 lakh 39 thousand 640 people have taken part in the admission test. 4,165 people were absent. The rate of absenteeism in the examination is 2.9 percent.
The department does not want to start the first-year admission process of medical till the end of the dental admission test. The dental admission test will be held on April 22. Then there was the plan to start the admission process of MBBS. However, when the admission process of students starts in the month of Ramadan, the admissions and parents will have to face difficulties in moving from one district to another. In this case, the admission process will start after Eid-ul-Fitr.
The admission process will start on May 6 and will continue till May 12. If for some reason the situation is not favorable at this time, the admission process may be extended a bit. However, if the situation is normal, the time will not be extended. The President of the Medical Admission Committee and the DG of the Department of Health Education have talked about this. Admission activities will start after Eid-ul-Fitr.
Asked about the commencement of MBBS’s first-year admission process from May 8, he said, “This is our initial decision.” Admission activities will start at the end of the Eid holidays. Last Friday (April 1), medical admission test was held simultaneously from 10 am to 11 am in 57 venues of 19 centers across the country. The test results were released on Tuesday (April 5) at noon.
