Due to the rapid spread of corona infection, physical education activities of Dhaka University (DU) were declared closed for two weeks from January 21 to February 6. After that, the notification was issued by the cabinet department on January 3 and the current leave was extended till February 21. However, even though there are no physical classes, the residential halls of the university are open. Vaccination activities of DU students started last 4th October.

Later, the residential hall of the university was opened on 5th October. Almost 100% of the teachers and students of the university have already come under the two-dose vaccine. Also, booster dose activities are in progress. The DU authorities have sought priority in providing booster doses to the teachers, students, officials, and employees of Dhaka University to prevent the escalation of the Corona situation.
