Islamic University (IU) Eighty percent of the second merit list is empty

At the end of the admission process of the second merit list of the first year of graduation of the Islamic University (IU) in the year 2020-21, 60 percent of seats are vacant. A total of 2,095 seats are to be admitted in three units of the university. However, only 720 people have been admitted. One thousand 465 seats are still vacant. The third merit list will be released on Wednesday (February 2) due to vacancies, authorities said.

According to the ICT cell of the university, 349 seats are vacant in the ‘A’ unit of the Faculty of Science, 729 seats in the ‘B’ unit of the Faculty of Arts, Social Sciences and Law, and 298 seats in the ‘C’ unit of the Faculty of Commerce. If the seats are still vacant, the authorities will take necessary action later.  All the information related to this will be known later from the website of the university. Professor Dr. Sheikh Abdus Salam said this time the admission process is a little complicated. There are some technical issues. We will have a meeting of the Admissions Committee soon. Discussions will be held on how to move the issue forward quickly.
