12 thousand GPA-5 did not get a chance to be admitted in the first stage
Despite getting GPA-5 in SSC and equivalent examinations, more than 12 thousand students did not get their names as a result of the first step published for admission in class XI. At the same time, one lakh 19 thousand applicants have been deprived of admission in the first stage. This situation has arisen due to limited seats and more applications in good quality colleges. This information has been received from the Inter-Education Coordination Board.
The results were published on the website of the class XI admission on Saturday (January 29) evening. Moazzem Hossain said 15 lakh 7 thousand 133 people applied for admission in class XI across the country. From there, in the first phase, 14 lakh 56 thousand 228 students have been selected for admission in class XI. From the colleges selected by the students in the application, they have got the opportunity of admission on the basis of results.
One lakh 19 thousand applicants have been denied admission in the first phase due to limited seats and more applications in good quality colleges. Among them, 12,160 people with GPA-5 did not get admission. Moazzem Hossain said that there are about five thousand seats in the missionary college in the Dhaka metropolis. Many GPA-5 students are being admitted there. Those who did not get college in the first stage will apply in the second and third stages. He also said that the list of those selected for admission in the remaining two steps will be published as in the first stage.
The application for online admission of students in higher secondary or class XI started on January 8. The application ends on January 23 at 12 noon. Earlier, there was an opportunity to apply for admission through SMS, but this time, only online application is allowed. Class XI is scheduled to start from March 2 after the admission process.
According to the admission notification, those who have passed SSC between 2019 and 2021 have been able to apply. However, students who have passed SSC of Open University can apply even at the age of 22. Students who have applied for the re-examination of SSC and submission results have to apply by January 15, but those who change the results have the opportunity to apply till January 22 and 23. January 24 was an opportunity to change the order of preference.
