This information was confirmed by the Secretary and Acting Chairman of the Dhaka Board Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar on Monday evening.

Asked about this year’s SSC-HSC test, Tapan Kumar said, “It will not be a test but a preparatory test.” We have prepared a guideline in this regard. Students, teachers, and parents will be notified soon. Detailed instructions will be given on how many marks will be taken in which subjects. It has been decided to take the preparatory examination of SSC one month earlier i.e. in May. Pre-HSC Preparatory Examination in July. There are plans to take SSC in June and HSC in August. SSC candidates will not have ICT, religious education, and Bangladesh and world identity exams, subject mapping will be done in these three subjects.

Earlier, the education boards had announced to take SSC and HSC test examinations. Written instructions in this regard were also issued by the Dinajpur Board of Education. Later, at a meeting of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee held on Sunday, the heads of the education boards voted not to take the test. But the next day, on Monday, the officials announced to hold a preparatory test. They have not yet said whether it is compulsory to take part in the preparatory test.
