Two days of weekly off from 2023 in all schools and colleges. From 2023 onwards, two days a week weekly off will be implemented in primary and secondary level educational institutions.
At the inauguration of the new curriculum of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) on Saturday (February 19), education minister Dr. Deepu Moni has given this information.
He also said that from 2024, there will be no more humanities, commerce and science (arts, commerce and science) sections in class 9.
In this context, the Education Minister said that not only knowledge but also the acquisition of skills with it is mainly the goal of the new curriculum. That’s our way to the next day.
He said the piloting will now continue. It will be implemented in 62 educational institutions. If we succeed in this, we will implement it from 2023 initially from 6th and 7th grade. It will be implemented in class 8 and 9 in 2024. By 2024, there will be no more arts, commerce, science departments.
