Degree students have until February 10 to apply for the stipend

The government will provide stipends for degree pass courses and equivalent level students in different universities. For this, the Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust has requested an application from the students. Students must apply for the stipend by registering online. Students have been asked to apply by February 10.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust has issued a notification seeking applications from students studying undergraduate pass courses and equivalent levels at various universities. The notification has been published by the Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education. Undergraduate (pass) third year, second year, and first-year students of Dhaka University, National University, and Islamic Arabic University can apply for a stipend.

In the year 2021-22, the Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust has awarded 2017-18, 2018-19, and 2019-20 (third year, second year, and first-year) undergraduate (pass) and equivalent level educational institutions studying at Dhaka University, National University and Islamic Arabic University. And scholarship applications are being invited from meritorious students. To receive the stipend, the student has to register online by entering the prescribed link (http://estipend.pmeat.gov.bd). The instructions required for registration can be found in the usage guide on the website.

All educational institutions and Upazila Secondary Education Officers can log in using the previous user ID and password or also using the user ID and password of the EMIS software of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education for data entry in the software. Students will be able to apply online using the system from January 9 to February 10, subject to the terms of use. After completing the overall process, the list of selected students has to be sent online using the system by 28th February.

There are certain conditions for getting a stipend. These are: In order to receive the stipend, the student must be a regular student studying at the degree (pass) or fazil level, as a regular student must be present in the classroom (class) at least 75% (in this case Bengali or English can be counted as required subject), The total should be less than one lakh rupees and the total amount of land owned by the parents should be less than five percent for those living in the city corporation area and seventy-five percent for those living in other areas.
