New instructions issued for primary students
The Department of Primary Education has issued a set of instructions, including online teaching in government primary schools, to control the spread of coronavirus. The instructions were issued on Thursday for the overall functioning of schools under the directorate of primary education. Stating that the class activities will remain closed till February 6 with direct participation,
the directive said that the Annual Lesson Plan (January-April) prepared for the year 2022 by the Directorate of Primary Education, NEP and NCTB are already being followed in all government primary schools. As government primary schools are closed due to the Covid-19 situation, as per the approved annual lesson plan, the teachers of the respective schools will conduct online Google Meet teaching activities.
Students should be motivated to participate in the ‘Learn at Home’ lesson program conducted from Parliament Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Betar and Community Radio through mobile phones and personal communication.
In the case of scheduling online classes, the parliament will have to schedule the online teaching by excluding the time of the broadcast of the ‘learn at home’ lesson through Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar and Community Radio.
The headteacher will take the cooperation of the members of SMC in the matter of maintenance and overall security of all assets of the institution during the closure of direct teaching activities in educational institutions. Regular cleaning activities should be continued in the school.
The headteacher will divide or take all the students in the catchment area of the school to the classroom and the subject teacher. The teachers will keep in regular touch with the concerned students on mobile phones and in-person to check the progress of the students’ lessons. It has been directed to follow all the hygiene and other restrictions announced by the government properly and carry out activities in accordance with these instructions till further orders.
