PEC and JSC exam No decision has been taken. Due to Corona, PEC, JSC, Ibtedai Samapani, and JDC examinations were not held in the last two years. However, the two ministries have not yet taken any decision in this regard. Although preparations are being made. PEC and JSC examinations were not held for two years. There are three to four years left to launch the new curriculum. They are in favor of not taking the test at this time. And even if the test was taken, it should have been informed in advance. Because the test is taken in November, now it is April.
Ministries and education boards are preparing for PEC, JSC, Ibtedai Samapani, and JDC examinations. The registration process for fifth and eighth-grade students has also started. This activity will end this month. However, there is no law regarding these tests. PEC and JSC examinations started from 2010 onwards as per the executive decision of the cabinet in 2009. ‘We are not thinking about PEC and ibtedayi final exams right now. I am trying to overcome the loss of students in Corona. Extra classes are being taken for this. The school will remain open till the 20th of Ramadan to cover the loss. The Ministry of Education has not yet informed about the JSC examination. However, JSC students are being registered as a preliminary preparation. Last year, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina approved the outline of the new curriculum. It will be piloted this year and will be implemented next year. The new curriculum does not provide for PEC and JSC examinations. The new curriculum will include JSC and JDC from 2024 and PEC and ibtedayi final examinations from 2025.
