Jahangirnagar University will have an admission test in four units. The University Grants Commission (UGC) is going to take initiative to stop the admission tests in multiple units of Jahangirnagar University. The company will give instructions in this regard soon. However, the authorities are not clear on whether JU will abide by the directive. The UGC found some inconsistencies while investigating the irregularities in the expenditure of money collected for the admission test of Jabir 2020-21. The admission process according to each category is one of them.

The UGC is going to close the admission test in multiple units to stop all this and reduce the financial loss to the students. Autonomous universities are governed by the 1973 Ordinance. According to the ordinance, there is no opportunity for admission or examination of more than four units in autonomous universities. However, some universities are taking admission tests in more than one unit in their own interest. Notice will be sent soon to close it.
