Most seats are in colleges under the National University. A responsible official of the National University told Prothom Alo on Monday that there are 61 colleges in the country that offer undergraduate (honors) courses. Of these, 274 are government colleges and 618 are private educational institutions. There are 4 lakh 37 thousand 275 seats for admission in the first year of graduation (honors). And in degree (pass course) there are 4 lakh 21 thousand 990 seats for admission in the first year. Degree courses are taught in 1,989 colleges across the country.
