Even after admission in three stages of Chittagong University, 72 seats are vacant. The third phase of the primary admission process of Chittagong University (CU) has been completed in 2020-21. At the end of this phase, 72 more seats are vacant. However, the CU administration is hopeful that all the seats will be filled in the fourth phase of the admission process. In 2020-21, there were 4 units and 4 sub-units of Chair with a total of 4,926 seats.

After admission in three stages, students have been admitted in 4,254 seats against these seats. There are 72 more seats vacant According to the information given to the media from the ICT cell of the Chair, there are 216 vacancies in the ‘A’ unit as against 1,212 seats. Unit B has 236 vacancies as against 1,221 seats. There are 36 seats vacant against 441 seats in the C unit and 153 seats vacant against 1,160 seats in the D unit.

Besides, there are 25 vacant seats in B1 of the two sub-units as against 125 seats. However, unlike the 30 seats in the D1 unit, there are no vacancies, said the ICT cell of Chair. In this regard, the director of the ICT cell, Prof. Mohammad Khairul Islam told the media that 72 seats are still vacant after the completion of the third phase of the primary admission process. Hopefully, all the seats will be filled in the fourth phase admission process.
