Dhaka University application fee for admission is one thousand taka
It has been decided to increase the admission application fee of Dhaka University in 2021-22. The application fee has been increased by Tk 350 from last year to Tk 1,000. In 2020-21, the application fee was 650 rupees. The decision was made at a meeting of the university’s deans committee on Wednesday (April 7). It will be finalized at the meeting of the General Admission Committee on Thursday. Dhaka University (DU) 2021-22 in the first year of graduation (honors) admission test 958 rupees 50 paise, online service charge 30 rupees and bank payment service charge 13 rupees 50 paise with a total of 1000 rupees. Fees can be deposited at any branch of four state-owned commercial banks (Sonali, Agrani, Janata, and Rupali).
The admission test for the ‘C’ unit of the Faculty of Business Education will be held on 3rd June. Examinations will be held on 4th June in the ‘B’ unit of the Faculty of Arts, on 10th June in the ‘A’ unit of the Faculty of Science, and on 11th June in the ‘D’ unit of the Faculty of Social Sciences. Besides, the admission test for the ‘C’ unit (General Knowledge) of the Faculty of Fine Arts will be held on 18th June. Initially, some decisions have been taken in the meeting of the Deans Committee regarding admission tests in 2021-22. It will be finalized at the meeting of the General Admission Committee tomorrow.
In the case of science students this year, the candidates who have passed the minimum qualification for admission application should have a GPA of 7, including the fourth subject in the secondary, higher secondary, and equivalent examinations. Last year it was 6.5. However, the decision to keep the GPA of secondary and higher secondary separately at 3.5 will remain in force as per the previous rules. Students in the humanities and business education department must have a GPA of 7.5 and 3 separately. Last year the GPA was 7 and separately 3.5. In the ‘C’ unit of the Faculty of Fine Arts, the sum of GPA obtained in the fourth subject in the secondary, higher secondary, and equivalent examinations had to be calculated. This time it has been reduced to 6.5.
