Publication of final merit list of seven colleges affiliated to Dhaka University. The final merit list for admission in seven government colleges affiliated with Dhaka University has been published. All the colleges together have given final nominations for a total of 23,262 seats. After the admission process, classes for the new students of the affiliated colleges will start from 23rd February. Admission test of seven affiliated government colleges has been held in 2020-21 under the faculties of Science, Commerce and Arts and Sociology. Although there is talk of 26,160 seats, the admission test has been taken in only 23,262 seats. The first issue of the seat (26160) was a factual error.

The issue of re-seats has been adjusted by contacting each college. Professor Mostafiz said that the information that was being circulated about 26,160 seats was factually incorrect. In the beginning, after the affiliation, if you want to know the seat information from the colleges, information has been given more than once from several departments. Due to that, the number of seats increased. Last Monday (February 14) the final merit list of the admission test of seven colleges was published.

The students nominated in the final list are paying the remaining amount of admission through 2nd installment from Wednesday. In case of a deposit of money in the second installment, the money deposited in the first installment will be adjusted automatically. Besides, if any seat becomes vacant even after the final nomination, Professor Mostafizur Rahman said that no instruction has been received yet regarding those seats. However, there is still some time left to start the class. We are monitoring the matter till then.

According to the notification on the website of the university, the payslip for the admission and registration of the second installment has been prepared for all the students of the final nomination. Applicants will have to deposit the money and collect the deposit receipt by 19th February. After that, they will start the admission process by appearing in person at their respective colleges on 20-23 February. According to a separate circular signed by Munshi Shams Uddin Ahmed, Deputy Registrar (Education-II) of the university, the teaching of 1st-year undergraduate (honors) class will start on 23rd February in 2020-2021 in seven government colleges affiliated to Dhaka University. The concerned people of seven colleges have been requested to take the necessary steps to start teaching.
