Dhaka University Department of History awarded scholarships to 208 students

Dhaka University Department of History awarded scholarships to 208 students. To mark the centenary of Dhaka University (DU) and the centenary of the Department of History, scholarships have been awarded to 6 Ph.D. and MPhil degree holders of the Department of History and 206 students of Graduation (Honors) and MA classes. Professor Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, Treasurer -Teachers handed over scholarship checks to the students by appearing as the chief guest at a function in the central auditorium.

Department Chairman Prof. Abu Md. Retired Professor Dr. Delwar Hossain presided over the ceremony. Executive Director of Sirajul Islam and Anjuman Mofidul Islam Mahfuzur Rahman was present as a special guest. Convener of the Scholarship Committee and Professor of History. AM Amjad delivered the welcome address on the occasion. Assistant Professor of the Department Sajeeb Kumar conducted the merchant program.

This scholarship will help the students to move forward. Inspired by this big initiative of the history department, other departments will also come forward. He hoped that the scholarship students would play an important role in fulfilling their responsibilities towards the university, the country, and the society. This one-time scholarship is provided from 16 funds under the scholarship program of the history department. Scholarships for Ph.D. research are. Ahmed Sharif, Dr. Mosharraf Hossain, Dr. Syed Md. Shahan Shah, Dr. S. M. Rezaul Karim, and Dr. Chand Sultana Kawshar and MPhil Scholarship recipients are Touhida Akhter, Mithun Kumar Saha, and Shanta Patranbish.
