This year, 62 educational institutions will have two days a week off. The sixth-grade students of 62 educational institutions of the country will get two days off a week from this year. However, the students of all other classes of the concerned institutions will get one day off as before. Students of all classes will get two days off a week from 2023. This information was given on Tuesday by Professor Mashiuzzaman, Member (Curriculum) of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB).
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the pilot program for the new curriculum, Professor Mashiuzzaman said, “We have informed 72 institutions that the sixth graders under the pilot program will get two days off a week this year.” And the students of other classes will take classes six days a week as before. Students of all classes will get two days off a week in 2023. ‘
Education Minister on February 19. Dipu Moni said that from 2023, there will be two days of weekly holiday in all educational institutions of the country. The NCTB offers two days off a week. At present classes run 215 days a year in educational institutions for weekly and other holidays. If Saturday is also a holiday, the class will be 165 days. The new curriculum will not have humanities, commerce, and science departments in the ninth grade from 2024.
