Dhaka University signs off classes in person
The situation in The Coronavirus in the country has deteriorated and there is a hint of closure of classes in person at Dhaka University (Dhabi). Centrally or in their respective departments can get instructions to take online classes separately.
According to sources, 15-20 students have developed corona symptoms with fever and cold almost every day of Dhabi. Most departments still have to sit in classes in heaps as there is a class crisis. In this situation, Dhabi is moving towards online classes considering the safety of students.
When asked about this, Dhabi Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. Asm Maqsood Kamal said, “We are monitoring the coronavirus situation globally. If you want a department of ours, you can take classes online. Instructions in this regard have been issued to the departments.
He said that at this time of corona situation, our departments are instructed to take 40 percent of the classes online and 60 percent in person. But one can take classes completely online if one wants to. One of our departments is already taking classes online.
Professor Dr. ASM Maqsood Kamal also said that if the situation worsens, we will take online classes centrally. We will discuss the issue with everyone, including the Vice-Chancellor, and decide what we have to do. Meanwhile, the university administration has directed a quick corona test if a student of Dhaka University develops symptoms of coronavirus. That is why the university’s medical center has been asked to contact you between 8 am and 10 pm.
