On Saturday (February 19) afternoon, at the unveiling of the printed books according to the new curriculum of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) at Motijheel in the capital, the Education Minister Dr. Deepu Mani said these things. From 2023 onwards, there will be two days of weekly off in all educational institutions of the country at the secondary level. There are currently two weekly holidays at the university level. There are now two days in secondary and higher secondary.
When we went to the Prime Minister with the outline of the curriculum, we wanted to take two days off in secondary and higher secondary, and higher education. Five days should be very focused, then there should be two days off. He proposed one of the first days. Hopefully, from 2023 onwards, all educational institutions will have a two-day weekly holiday. ”
About the new curriculum, Dr. Deepu Mani said, “Our hope is that through the new curriculum, students will not only be able to acquire knowledge but also learn skills, right approach, values along with acquiring knowledge. By combining everything, students will be skilled people, learn to think for themselves, expand the world of thought, learn to apply what students learn, identify problems, find solutions.
