Piloting online transfers to primary this month. After more than two years, it is planned to inaugurate the pilot transfer program for the transfer of government primary school teachers this February. Piloting of transfer activities will start in Kaliakair Upazila of Gazipur. After that, transfer activities of all teachers across the country will continue in phases. Alamgir Muhammad Mansurul Alam, director-general of the Department of Primary Education, said the ministry plans to inaugurate a teacher transfer program in February.
After the piloting, all the teachers will be transferred in phases. Online software is ready. All measures will be taken soon after the inauguration. Primary teacher transfers have been suspended for more than two years after the initiative to conduct online transfer activities. It was said that if the restrictions imposed by the government due to coronavirus were lifted, the online transfer of government primary teachers would start.
But even though the educational institution was opened, the whole activity was stopped as the piloting was not inaugurated. Piloting was supposed to start in Kaliakair Upazila of Gazipur after completing online teacher transfer training in March last year. Preparations were made to conduct online teacher transfer activities across the country through teacher training in phases. However, the ministry said that it was not possible to start the piloting activities due to various reasons including the Corona situation.
The Information Management Division (IMD) of the Department of Primary Education is responsible for conducting online primary teacher transfer activities. Initiatives were taken to introduce this service to alleviate the suffering of teachers. By analyzing the steps of the existing system of teacher transfer, real problems, obstacles, slowness, and systematic gaps in service delivery are identified. Teachers can apply using their teacher PIN (e-primary system) by logging in through OTP authentication and entering their own UI (user interface).
