Jagannath University Classes start today

Jagannath University Classes start today. Every year all the departments except a couple of departments of Jagannath University (JU) are closed at the beginning of Ramadan. But the campus was open until 22 Ramadan (April 24) to make up for the education deficit caused by Corona. There were examinations, assignments, and presentations in different sections. This time Eid and other holidays start on 25th April, ending on 8th May (Saturday). Classes will start on May 6. And so the students have started leaving their relatives and returning to the campus without cutting the Eid mood.

During Ramadan, examinations were held in many departments including the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Business Education, and Department of Geography and Environment. There are now semester final exams left in almost all the departments. Although midterm exams have already been completed in many departments, it is known that there are labs and presentations left in many departments. The semester final examinations of most of the faculties will be held later this month. That is why most of the departments have completed the semester classes during Ramadan.

Although the class activities started from, the only student hall of Jagannath University is open. In this regard, the only student of Jagannath University is Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall Provost Professor. Shamima Begum said that the hall is open from today and the students have started entering the hall. Enamul Hossain, a second-year student, said there were some midterm exams left before the end of Ramadan. Also came back having labs, tests, and practicals, have to prepare. However, the mood of Eid is not over yet. I was able to spend some time with my family and relatives. Coming back earlier, I was able to share the joy of Eid with Mess’s friends. All in all, it feels good.
