Online classes begin at Dhaka University today. Dhaka University is starting online classes on Sunday (January 23) in the current corona situation. The university’s residence halls are open even though classes are closed in person. This was confirmed by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Maqsood Kamal on Saturday.
He said we have stopped classes in person because of the corona. But we will not have much problem in continuing the education program. We will start online classes from Sunday without wasting a day as we have prior experience. At the same time, a department can take the ongoing tests online if it wants to. He added that since we are not closing the hall right now, students are getting a chance to join online from the hall. I hope the network problem caused by being in different parts of the country will not happen now.
Meanwhile, Dhaka university offices will be open in a limited range from 9 am to 1 pm in accordance with hygiene. Emergency services (electricity, water, gas, internet, healthcare, sanitation, etc.) will continue as usual, according to a university release. Dhaka University was declared closed till February 6 in the light of the national decision on Friday. But authorities said the residential halls of the university will remain open till further instructions are issued.
