PSC chairman Sohrab Hossain said this on Tuesday (February 1). The PSC chairman said that the oral examination of the 40th BCS will be resumed on February 8. Earlier, the test was postponed due to the illness of many members of the Viva Board. Once they recover, it has been decided to start Viva again.PSC released the results of the 40th BCS written test on January 26 last year. Four lakh 12 thousand 532 candidates applied for the 40th BCS preliminary examination. Of these, three lakh 26 thousand candidates have appeared for the exam.
20,026 of them passed the preliminary.PSC published the notification of the 40th BCS in August 2016. A total of one thousand 903 cadres will be taken in the 40th BCS. In this, 200 people will be appointed in the administration cadre, 72 in police, 25 in foreign countries, 24 each, 32 in customs and excise, and about 600 in education cadre.
