There is an opportunity for admission by changing the department of Dhaka University. The ‘D’ unit of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Dhaka University is presently there. As the results of the HSC examination have already been published and the students are preparing to participate in the admission test in five units as before, the DU administration is not canceling the ‘D’ unit at present. From 2022-to 2023, there will be no ‘D’ unit in the admission test for the first-year undergraduate (honors) class. The admission test of DU will be held next year through four reorganized units. Although the ‘D’ unit has been canceled, there is an opportunity to change the department and get admission to Dhaka University.
Then for admission to Dhaka University, you can take the admission test in the ‘Arts, Law and Social Sciences’ unit. Humanities students will be able to take exams in mathematics or statistics or economics or accounting science or any other subject along with the admission test in the ‘Arts, Law and Social Sciences’ unit for admission in science or commerce subjects. According to the university administration, the results of the Higher Secondary Examination for the students admitted in the first year undergraduate (honors) class in 2021-2022 have already been published and the students are mentally preparing to participate in the admission test in five units as before.
Therefore, it has been decided to maintain the ‘D’ unit in the admission test of Dhaka University this year. As a result, the admission tests will be held in all the five units of A, B, C, D, and F in this academic year. The university administration further said that the students admitted to the science and business education unit will have the opportunity to participate in the admission test in the ‘Arts, Law and Social Sciences’ unit to change the department or unit. In addition, students in the humanities will be able to take an entrance test in the ‘Arts, Law and Social Sciences’ unit for admission in science or commerce, along with mathematics or statistics or economics or accounting or any of the prerequisites.
