More than half of the seats in MBSTU are vacant

More than half of the seats in Mavabiprabi are vacant. Maulana Bhasani University of Science and Technology (MBSTU) has enrolled only 105 students out of 612 students in the second merit list in the first year of graduation in 2020-21. 62% of the seats are still vacant. Against 810 seats in 16 departments in 5 faculties of the university, the total number of admissions is 198 in the first merit list and 105 in the second merit list.

A total of 303 students were enrolled. There are still 507 vacant seats. Of these, 9 students who were admitted in the first merit list canceled the (Mavabiprabi) admission and were admitted to other faculties in the second merit list. This information was revealed by the university on Thursday (February 10). As per the earlier announced admission instructions, the third merit list will be published tomorrow (February 11). Later, online admissions will be conducted on February 13 and 14 as usual.

All the instructions regarding admission have been given on the university’s website. Besides, the instructions also said that the fourth merit list will be published on February 15, subject to vacant seats, and admissions will be conducted online on February 16 and 17 as usual. The university authorities are yet to say when the classes for students enrolled in the first year of graduation in 2020-21 in Mavabiprabi will start. However, it is said that the first-year classes can start in the middle of March.
