Half of the seats in The Islamic University Have Not Been Filled. The admission process for the first, second, and third merit lists of the first, second and third year of graduation in 2020-21 has been completed at the Islamic University (EB). Out of the 2095 seats in the three merit lists, 825 students have been admitted. That’s 40% of the total seats. As a result, more than half of the seats are still vacant.

So far, 825 students have completed the admission process against 2095 seats in the three merit lists. Of these, 350 students have been admitted from the first merit list, 270 from the second merit list, and 205 from the third merit list. As a result, so far, 276 seats are vacant in ‘A’ unit of the Faculty of Science, 746 in ‘B’ Unit of The Faculty of Arts, Social Sciences and Law and 250 in the C’ Unit of the Faculty of Commerce.

When asked about the next merit list, Prof. Dr. Ahsanul Ambia, director of the university’s ICT cell, said, “As per the central instructions, we have completed the admission process of the third merit list. Action is soon being taken by the administration on how to admit students to the vacant seats. In this regard, Pro-VC Prof. Dr. Mahbubur Rahman said that the entire data is being worked on. A new merit list will be published on the website in a few days.
