University plans 100% guarantee of internet and smartphones. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has taken a plan to ensure 100% smartphones and internet to the students of the university by 2023. UGC chairman Prof. Dr. said that the plan is to bring the students under the blended education system under the smartphone or device. Kazi Shahidullah.
A press release issued by the UGC on Tuesday (February 15th) said this at a meeting of the sub-committee on implementation of the master plan on blended education system in higher education on virtual platforms on Tuesday (February 15th). The UGC chairman said plans have been made to ensure 100 percent internet connectivity in the university through Bangladesh Research and Education Network and to set up a campus network. In addition, by 2025, 50 percent of university students will have access to data centers and by 2031, 100 percent of students will be covered by laptops or digital devices based on demand.
