Online classes for fresh students of Jahangirnagar University started on March 9.Jahangirnagar University (JU) 2020-21 undergraduate honors first year teaching will start online from March 9. This information was given in a circular signed by Abu Hasan, Deputy Registrar and Secretary of Admissions Steering Committee of the University on Thursday (March 3). Besides, it has also instructed the students to open institutional mail.
Students will be able to apply for Institutional Mail from March 7 by visiting the following website https://juniv.edu/student-email/apply link. The conditions for opening the mail have been given in the mentioned link. However, he could not be found even after trying to contact the Deputy Registrar Abu Hassan on his mobile phone to know exactly how the students will communicate with the concerned department and class management.
However, an official who did not want to be named said that the information of the admitted students will be provided to the concerned department. For the time being, the concerned department will handle the matter like them. In this regard, the Dean of the Faculty of Biology, Prof. Dr. Abdul Jabbar said that according to the decision of the examination management committee, the first-year class was supposed to start on March 8, but the time has changed due to the change of VC. The admission test for 2020-2021 at Jahangirnagar University started on 9th November and lasted till 22nd November. 3 lakh, 7 thousand 98 people competed for 169 seats in 34 departments and three institutes in ten faculties.
