There will be two shift classes in primary school. Government primary schools in one shift have been asked to conduct classes in two shifts. Classes of students in government primary schools across the country are starting from tomorrow, Wednesday. However, pre-primary classes are not starting now. Primary schools are being asked to take classes in two shifts to ensure hygiene when classes begin. In this case, first and second class students from 9 am to 12 noon and third, fourth and fifth class from 12 noon to 4:15 pm in primary schools.

Schools have been instructed to take classes every day from first to fifth class. And I have asked the schools which are run in one shift to take classes in two shifts. Soccer has been instructed to take first and second class classes from 9 to 12 and third, fourth and fifth classes from 12 noon to 4:15 pm. The newly appointed Primary and Mass Education Secretary Aminul Islam Khan presided over the virtual meeting and was directed to take classes in two shifts. I am instructing all the schools to take classes accordingly.

Asked about the manner in which classes will be conducted in government primary schools, Mahbubur Rahman Tuhin, public relations officer of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, said at noon on Tuesday that classes should be conducted in primary schools in compliance with hygiene rules. There will be classes from first to fifth grade every day. It is compulsory to wear a mask in class even if normal class activities have started. Teachers and parents will confirm the matter. Schools that operate in one shift will be able to take classes in two shifts to ensure hygiene. This matter is supervised by the education officials. In this regard, the schools have to conduct classes in the institution as per the instructions of the Upazila Education Officer.

Primary schools run in one shift across the country have to take classes in two shifts. Education officials are giving instructions to follow the hygiene rules. In this way, teachers do not have to stay in school for extra time. And students will be able to take classes according to hygiene rules. According to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, classes from first to fifth grade will continue till the 20th of Ramadan. Eid-ul-Fitr holiday will start from 21st Ramadan. Classes will resume as usual after the Eid holidays.
