There are no vacant seats in seven colleges. The admission process for 2020-21 in seven government colleges affiliated with Dhaka University has been completed. A total of 23,262 seats in colleges have been nominated. A large section of admission seekers is still waiting for the final nomination. However, after the publication of the final nominations, there are no vacant seats in the seven government colleges at the moment, the authorities said. The Convener of the Central Admission Committee of the University, Prof. Dr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman said on Wednesday night that this year’s admission process of seven colleges is almost over.

If any seat becomes vacant after the final nomination in all the specified seats, then the waiting admission seekers can get a chance in those seats. By March 5, the colleges will inform Dhaka university about the seats. The next decision will then be made according to the instructions. After the final nomination, a section of the waiting students submitted a memorandum to the Dhaka University authorities demanding an opportunity for admission. They say there are many students who have moved to public universities. As a result, many seats in the seven colleges will remain vacant. In this situation, students on the waiting list will have to be given the opportunity to get admission in the vacant seats.

Professor Mostafizur Rahman said that for this, the students will have to wait. Earlier, on Monday (February 14), the final merit list of the admission test of seven colleges was published. After that, the admission seekers in the final list went to the colleges that got the chance by paying the second installment and confirming the admission. Classes for the first year of graduation for 2020-21 have begun. Since this morning, the colleges have welcomed their young students through various formalities. Leaders of student organizations working on campus along with teachers also participated in it.
