On October 17, for the first time, a bunch of admission tests will be held in 20 public universities of the country through the admission test of ‘A’ unit of the science department. Then on October 24, the admission test of the ‘B’ unit of the humanities department and on November 1, the ‘C’ unit of the commerce department will be held.

It is learned that a score will be given to the students admitted in this admission test. The universities will then publish advertisements in the newspapers regarding the admission of students stating their respective conditions and demands. Universities will admit students according to the scores obtained in the admission test.

In this regard, Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed, joint convener of the cluster admission test organizing committee and vice-chancellor of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), said three separate examinations would be held for science, humanities and commerce faculties. There will be no fail or side issue here. Students will be informed of the marks obtained through the examination. After publishing the results, the concerned universities will publish the admission policy on their website. Admission notification will also be published in the national newspaper. In that light, students will have the opportunity to be admitted to the university.

Meanwhile, Shabiprabi has published the admission guidelines before the bunch admission test. It is said that the application and deadline for admission in Shabiprabi will be announced later on the university’s admission website. However, the application for admission will be made only through the university’s admission website.

The admission guideline mentions a total of 16 seats in the current 2020-2 session. Of which a total of 975 seats in the ‘A’ unit of science. And 60 in the ‘B’ unit of science, humanities and commerce. Besides, it is said that there are 100 more seats in different quotas including freedom fighters.

Admission to Shabiprabi is compulsory to participate in bunch admission test in 20 public universities. However, students who have won gold, silver or bronze medals in various recognized international Olympiads will have the opportunity to be admitted in the respective departments without applying for admission in clusters. The admission guideline states that the decision of the admission committee will be final in this regard.
