The Directorate of Madrasah Education has started accepting online applications for promotion to the posts of senior lecturers and assistant professors of various MPO-affiliated madrasas through memes software. Lecturers who applied on hardcopy after being instructed to apply for promotion manually in October last year will also have to apply for promotion online again.
On Monday, the Directorate of Madrasa Education sent a letter to the heads of all Alim, Fazil, and Kamil Madrasas informing them about this information from the Directorate of Madrasa Education. At the same time, the application form for the promotion of lecturers has been published.
According to the MPO policy, the lecturers of Kamil and Fazil Madrasas will have to apply online through memes software until further instructions to get promotion to the post of assistant professor and alim madrasa lecturers to the post of senior lecturer. Seniority cannot be violated in the application for promotion. Those who have already applied for hardcopy will also have to apply online.

The forwarding of the District Education Officer and Upazila Secondary Education Officer will have to be attached to the application. Attested copies of all certificates and number sheets and other certificates of educational qualification, attested copies of appointment letters and joining letters, copies of the applicant’s first, different scales or grades for promotion, and the last MPO will have to be submitted along with the application.
In addition, the list of all assistant professors or senior lecturers and lecturers working in the madrasa will have to be submitted with the application with the mention of the date of joining and the date of MPO enrollment. A copy of the first and last MPO of the madrasa, a copy of the research work of the lecturers or the published article in a recognized journal, the last recognition, the copy of the affiliation, if not so, the proof of the application for updation, the approval letter of the last governing body given by the board or the university, the resolution containing the recommendation of the governing body for promotion will have to be submitted along with the application.

The committee will take action as per the manpower structure of private madrasas and the MPO Policy 2018 (revised till November 23, 2020). In the case of promotion, the committee will determine the seniority and experience according to the MPO policy of the private madrasa. Orders, notifications, and circulars issued at different times in this regard will have to be followed. The committee will recommend promotion to senior lecturer in the case of Alim Madrasa and assistant professor in the case of Fazil and Kamil Madrasas. In view of that recommendation, the Directorate of Madrasah Education will issue a promotion order.
