The merit list of the 2020-21 academic year of Noakhali University of Science and Technology (NSTU) is likely to be released tomorrow on Wednesday (December 22). The list will be released on Thursday (December 23) if the merit list is not released tomorrow for any reason.
This was stated by Prof. Dr. Didar-ul-Alam, Vice-Chancellor, NSTU, while interacting with The Daily Campus on Tuesday night (December 21).
He said the merit list was released on Monday yesterday. But the students had some complaints about the list. The merit list published in connection with the complaint has been postponed. We don’t want to deprive any student. Many will be added afresh, including those who were on the published list.

Professor Dr Didar-ul-Alam also said that the work of preparing the new list is in its final stages. I hope this list will be released tomorrow. However, if it is not possible to publish the list tomorrow for any reason, the list will be released on Thursday.
According to reports, admission applications for Nobiprabi started on November 24. Though the application time was scheduled to end on December 9, the application time was extended by six days to December 15 in a notification issued by the registrar’s office of the university on December 8. 52,285 students have applied for admission to the university.
According to university sources, 9,619 people have applied for Unit A, 10,314 in ‘B’ unit, 11,316 in ‘C’ unit, 8,996 in D unit (Science), 754 in Humanities, 2,341 from Business Education Branch, 5,506 in ‘E’ unit and 3,739 in ‘F’ unit.
It is learnt that 1391 seats will be filled in a total of 6 groups. The application fee per group has been fixed at Rs 600. Students who have passed the bunch admission test can apply.
Students from science department of Unit A can apply for groups ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’. Students from the humanities department of Unit ‘B’ can apply for group ‘D’ and ‘E’. Students from the department of education in the business of ‘C’ unit can apply for ‘D’ and F groups.The number of seats in Group A is 315, the number of seats in Group B is 175, in Group C is 245, in Group D is 377, in Group E is 165 and in F Group there are 114 seats.
